Our Team Leader will take ownership of multiple projects, work closely with relevant internal & external stakeholders to facilitate their successful delivery according to business needs. They will play a critical role in performance management, and provide performance reports to management and business teams, while working hard to ensure the growth & success of both the company, and our valued team members.
The successful candidate must be capable of taking ownership of multiple projects at all stages of their life cycle. Working with XFN teams to identify the needs of our various projects, anticipate pain points, and bring a solution driven mindset to each task. They will be comfortable navigating ambiguous situations, and be able to set clear achievable goals for themselves & our teams.
They must also be willing and able to take ownership of this role, identify & suggest process improvements, & develop a best practice model for all roles within our team.
What will I be doing?
- Grow the labeling team and oversee their day-to-day management.
- Working both independently, and in collaboration with stakeholders, to deliver high performance standards across all relevant projects, and develop a best practice model for maintaining high performance on those projects.
- Responsible for localising working processes and strategies, managing the labeling projects with the Safety Specialists and providing the labeling results in line with expectations.
- Provide efficient & timely data through performance management practices, and deliver reports to business teams when required.
- Provide guidance, mentorship and develop high performing team members.
- Be solution driven with local & global strategy in mind, and be proactive in delivering these solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, leading multi-lingual, multi-cultural teams, and facilitating an atmosphere of communication & collaboration.
- Lead the team to continuously evaluate outcomes, manage performance, establish and optimize the workflow and SOPs, report, analyse, and optimize quality process to ensure productivity, quality, and efficiency goals can be met.
- Conduct interviews & other hiring process duties to successfully grow out teams with qualified & capable people.

What should I bring with me?
- Bachelor’s degree and above or equivalent working experience in a short video product user industry.
- At least 1-year as Team leader or relevant experience (recent people management) in trust and safety or policy in a major tech or media company. Demonstrated leadership, with hard & soft skills suitable to this role.
- Display a broad understanding of our business needs, and strategic thinking skills.
- Be familiar with the business logic of labeling and working mode of the upstream and downstream teams.
- Have a demonstrated ability to make good decisions in complex situations.
- Familiar with machine learning and content understanding.
- Strong cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (PPT / Excel / Word) and strong presentation skills.
- Comfortable reporting to, or collaborating with, all levels of management & broader stakeholders.
- Proven track record of working with cross-functional partners, across different countries, ideally have experience with different European markets/regions
- Outstanding natural communicator (verbal/written) with excellent language and communication skills at full proficiency level in English
- A passion for helping others to grow, and a willingness to step beyond your comfort zone.
- An understanding of tools such as the Working Hours tool, and Data Power are an advantage.
- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
- Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
- Flexibility to move between projects etc, based on business needs.
- Willing to work with sensitive issues that include child exploitation, a variety of religious and political views, violence, adult & sexual content.
