This position will require you to work a 5/2 rotation Monday-Friday.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Provide support and guidance on all health and safety matters within the organization.
  • Facilitate and administer a comprehensive health and safety management program.
  • Provide guidance, training, consultation, and interpretation of health and safety policies.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with all health and safety policies.
  • Assist with developing and coordinating the delivery of safety training for all employees.
  • Support management on employee relations issues and execution of a positive employee relationship and safety culture.
  • Assist with incident investigations and follow up with supervisors for root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Assist with employee return-to-work programs in coordination with Workplace NL.
  • Monitoring activities where incidents could occur, halting any operation or activity that constitutes an imminent hazard to personnel/property/equipment.
  • Conduct area inspections to ensure that the areas are compliant with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Maintain and update company safety policies and site-specific safety policies.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent, work ethic, and attendance record


Education & Experience:


  • Health & Safety Diploma Program


License:


  • Driver’s License (Required)
