This position will require you to work a 5/2 rotation Monday-Friday.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide support and guidance on all health and safety matters within the organization.- Facilitate and administer a comprehensive health and safety management program.
- Provide guidance, training, consultation, and interpretation of health and safety policies.
- Ensure departmental compliance with all health and safety policies.
- Assist with developing and coordinating the delivery of safety training for all employees.
- Support management on employee relations issues and execution of a positive employee relationship and safety culture.
- Assist with incident investigations and follow up with supervisors for root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Assist with employee return-to-work programs in coordination with Workplace NL.
- Monitoring activities where incidents could occur, halting any operation or activity that constitutes an imminent hazard to personnel/property/equipment.
- Conduct area inspections to ensure that the areas are compliant with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Maintain and update company safety policies and site-specific safety policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision
- Excellent, work ethic, and attendance record
Education & Experience:
Health & Safety Diploma Program
License:
Driver’s License (Required)
